Most non-convictions, dismissals, and not-guilty verdicts are eligible to be sealed immediately. If you received a CWOF (Continuance without a finding) you are eligible to petition the court for sealing once the probation term has ended and the case has been dismissed. The court must be petitioned to get this done.

Will a CWOF show up on my CORI report? Yes, during the time of the continuance (usually 6 months to a year), the charge will show as continued. However, a CWOF will automatically clear from your public CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) after that time since it is not a conviction.
How do I seal my CORI?
Most cases can be sealed by mailing in a form to the Commissioner of Probation after a waiting period. The waiting period is shorter than it was before and is now 3 years for a misdemeanor and 7 years for a felony.
