In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the DexNav is a new feature that allows you to find hidden Pokémon, along with being able to find Pokémon with hidden abilities, egg moves, and specific items.
What does the search level mean in Oras?
The answer to the first question is simple: the Search Level is an individual value for each Pokémon you find in the wild (be it in the tall grass, ocean or inside caves). The search level increases every time you KO or capture that Pokémon. Note that you don’t need to be in a chain to increase the Search Level.
Does search level increase shiny rate?
As is there a search level cap so once you reach it your shiny odds cant increase any further. For example, in previous games once you got to a pokeradar chain of 40 you reached your max shiny odds and there was no point in chaining anymore just keep resetting for a shiny.
How do I increase my DexNav search level?
There are two ways to see more of a Pokémon and increase its Search Level:
- Encounter a specimen of the desired species in a battle (wild or with a Trainer, including Secret Base Trainers) Pokémon encountered in Link Battles are not counted as being seen.
- View a Pokémon by using the DexNav’s Detector Mode.
What is DexNav search level?
Search Level. Every species of Pokémon has its own Search Level, equal to the number of times that species has been seen (the “times encountered”, as shown in the Pokédex). As a species’ Search Level increases, the DexNav will be able to give the player more details about hidden Pokémon of that species.
How rare is it to find a shiny?
The chance of seeing a shiny Pokémon is 1 in every 8192, or a probability of 0.01220703125% during each encounter.
Does running away break a DexNav chain?
Failing to capture or defeat the wild Pokemon for any reason will break the chain. Once it appears, failing to encounter a hidden wild Pokemon in the wild for any reason (walking too fast, walking too far away, or taking too long and letting it run away) will break the chain.
Does Alpha Sapphire have exp share?

Max Raid Battles. Successfully completing a Max Raid Battle in Pokemon Sword and Shield is a good way to get a Hidden Ability Pokemon.
Is it possible to get hidden abilities?
One way to get a Pokémon with a Hidden Ability is to battle and catch one in a Max Raid Battle . Not all Max Raid Battle Pokémon will have Hidden Abilities, but you can eventually come upon one.
