API Stress Zyme is very similar in function to the Quick Start and is generally chosen to improve water clarity or stabilize chemistry in more established tanks. You don’t need to use both simultaneously and would probably never see the difference compared to using just one.

Can I use stress Zyme and Prime together?
There’s no harm in using both together, but there’s no point in it either. The so-called stress coat isn’t something you need. Just use Prime.
Is quick start and water conditioner the same?
Quick Start is not a water conditioner. It cannot remove chlorine or chloramine. These disinfectants will most certainly harm the fish if not removed with a proper water conditioner.
How do you know if a tank is cycled?
After testing your aquarium water for ammonia and nitrite and nitrate, if the reading shows 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and some nitrates then your fish tank is cycled. Cycling a new tank usually takes between four to six weeks. Cycling your fish tank can take a long time.
Can you overdose stress Zyme?
You can’t overdose this product, unless your tank is very small (less than 25 Litres (6.6US G.) say), so add double dosages weekly for the first month to reduce mulm and possible harmful bacterial presence faster.
Does stress Zyme go bad?
API claimed that their product never goes bad. When they found out I used Seachem Prime (a competing brand) water conditioner, they said it must be the Seachem Prime that’s not working. So according to API, other brands go bad but their products don’t.
