This walk visits the beautiful Loch Achray in the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. You can park at the Ben Venue Car Park at the western end of the loch. The good sized car park is close to the loch where you can walk along the road and shoreline.

Achray is a popular fishing loch for brown trout, sea trout, perch, pike and salmon. Fishing Permits are available at Forestry Commision, Aberfoyle or David Marshall Lodge, Aberfoyle . Loch Achray is controlled by the Loch Achray Conservation Association. Fly fishing from boats only.

Late 17th century burial ground set an in idyllic location on a man-made promontory to Loch Katrine. From 1859 Loch Katrine became used as Glasgow’s main source of drinking water functioning as a reservoir, as a result the water level of the loch was artificially raised.
Can you fish in Loch Drunkie?
Fishing is permitted on the road-side only. From where the road meets the top of the loch on the one way system round the west side of the loch to opposite the last (and most northerly) carpark on Loch Drunkie. the last carpark before you come away from the loch on the one-way loop track is preferred by most anglers.
