Disney DOESN’T give you free admission into the theme parks on your birthday. They DON’T give you free hotel stays or free meals. You CAN’T skip the lines or get special dining reservations. That said, you’ll still receive enough freebies and special attention to give you a little extra magic on your special day.
Does Disneyland give you anything for your birthday?
Everyone who is celebrating a birthday at Disneyland can get a free “Happy Birthday” button, whether you’re traveling over your actual birthday or not. You can get them from City Hall in Disneyland, Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park or many of the retailers located throughout the Resort.
How do you tell Disney you’re celebrating?
Once you arrive on Disney property, be sure to get a free, personalized birthday button for your child from Guest Relations at any of the theme parks or your Disney World resort front desk. This lets everyone know you are celebrating, and cast members often find ways to add some pixie dust to birthdays.

Parents can call 1-877-7-MICKEY (that’s 877-764-2539). They can choose one of five special messages for their little ones from Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck or Goofy. There’s a limit of one message per call. If calling using a mobile phone, standard mobile charges may apply.
