Amazing experience Yes you don’t get paid much, yes you pay more to go than you get paid there but it’s worth it. Working with so many different kids from all sorts of life is amazing. There’s not much time off as well but it’s still worth it.

We are allowed phones and cameras in the staff areas when off duty, but not allowed an photos of kids, or of the camp even when there is no kids during session.

34 Can I apply with a friend? No, sorry, Camp America does not accept joint applications. This is because the camps need their staff to be flexible and act independently. Each placement of on an applicant to camp is made individually based on your skills, experience and interests as well as the dates you’re able to go.
How old do you need to be to go to camp America?
18 years or over
You must be 18 years or over before the 1st June of the summer you want to take part in. This is due to visa and insurance regulations that we must strictly follow. You can still start your application and be interviewed before you turn 18 though!
Can you smoke at camp America?
Please be advised that all camps have a strict no alcohol/drugs policy. This is a zero tolerance policy. Camps will also have no smoking policies that may extend to local towns as well as camp grounds, most camps also operate a curfew requiring you to return to camp by a deadline when on time off.
