Though Drana prevented his scheme for the other families, she couldn’t prevent Kalitas from submitting his own family to mindless servitude beneath the Eldrazi. As Drana is proclaimed to be the last bloodchief after the defeat of the Eldrazi, Kalitas is presumably dead.
