Does SBCC give scholarships?
Santa Barbara City College offers a great variety of scholarships to its current, transferring and newly incoming students. Scholarships are awarded based upon a combination of financial need, academic achievement and community/campus involvement. Scholarships are only one form of financial aid available to students.
Is there a GPA requirement you must maintain to keep your financial aid?
To be eligible for federal student aid and college financial aid, a student must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP). This generally consists of maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale (i.e., at least a C average) and passing enough classes with progress toward a degree.
What is an SBCC program?
An SBCC strategy provides a “road map” for changing behaviors and social norms. Developing an effective SBCC strategy requires following a systematic process to analyze the problem, define key barriers and motivators to change, and design effective messages and interventions.
Where is financial aid office SBCC?

The Financial Aid Office is located in the Student Services Building, Room # SS-210. They can also advise you on grants and loans. SBCC offers a limited number of scholarships for qualified study abroad program participants.
How do I get my student ID SBCC?
Students can get their CampusCard (regular student ID card) by following the directions at the top of this page. Faculty and staff can get their CampusCard at the Campus Security Office. Faculty and staff will need to present a valid Drivers License or other government issued photo identification.
Is SBCC free?
The SBCC Foundation launched the SBCC Promise in fall 2016, providing all local high school graduates with the opportunity to attend SBCC full-time free of charge, for up to two years. The SBCC Promise relies entirely on private donations.

How does SBCC work?
SBCC uses a systematic planning process that is evidence-based and grounded in social and behavioral theory. SBCC applies a Socio-Ecological Model (SEM) that recognizes the relationship between people and their environment to identify “tipping points” to change individual behaviors and social norms.
