SCHROTH racing harnesses utilise “tilt lock adjusters” for quick adjusting the harness belt. To lengthen a strap, tilt (lift) the adjuster up to 90 degree relative to the strap and pull in direction as indicated. To tighten a strap, pull at the protruding strap end as indicated.
How do you install a 6 point harness?
A six-point (dual) sub-strap is mounted a minimum of 20 degrees rearward from perpendicular (drawn to the floor through the sub-strap hole in the seat, immediately in front of the groin.) Two points of attachment should be approximately 4 to 6 inches apart–2 to 3 inches to the right and left of centerline.
How does Schroth ASM work?
Schroth’s ASM is an extra fold of material sewn into the inboard shoulder belt, elongating at a separate rate compared to the outboard belt. This allows two movements: the upper torso can twist slightly, and on the rebound phase, the torso is planted firmly back in the seat instead of sliding under the lap belt.
How do you mount an anti submarine belt?
6-Point Anti-Submarine Belt should be anchored at an angle of 20 degrees behind the Chest Line as measured from the intersection of the Chest Line and the lap belt buckle. Mounts should be approximately 8 to 12 inches apart (approximately located under each hip and as close to the body as possible).
Do you need a harness bar for harness?
Harness bars are mainly for fitment. If your harnesses fit well without them you are fine. Some of the UTV’s on the market have that back bar so low you cant really use it to attach harnesses or it has to wrap around the seat and not through the bezel.
How do you install a 7 point harness?
If you have a 7 point harness, the 7th point must be installed like a 5 point belt anti-submarine belt, 20 to 25 degree FORWARD of the seat hole (not behind like the 6 points). A common option is to use an eye bolt with a washer and a backing plate under the floor.
