Do I have to request a roommate? No. About half our students request a roommate and half opt for a random roommate.

Your residence fee is the sum total of your room fee, meal plan fee and residence council fee.

What is the residence in Alberta eligibility requirement?
Update as of May 13, 2021: Those applicants applying via Option C for the Residence in Alberta eligibility requirement: Applicants MUST be physically present in Alberta at the time of notarization and must have this form verified in person by a Notary Public or Commissioner for oaths OR virtually notarized via an Albertan lawyer.
How do I become a permanent resident of Alberta?
Eligible individuals can apply to be nominated to work and live in Alberta permanently. The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) is an economic immigration program that nominates people for permanent residence in Alberta. Nominees must have skills to fill job shortages or be planning to buy or start a business in Alberta.
You do not need to be admitted to your program to apply for residence. Log into your Residence Account using your CCID and fill out your application. Pay the $25 non-refundable application fee by credit card and submit. Check your UAlberta email regularly for our room offer and accept by completing your confirmation contract linked in the email.
