- If you listed a major on your admission application, but you want to change that major, please send an email requesting the major change to [email protected] Include your name and date of birth in the email.
- The admissions office will review your major change request and notify you of their decision.
How do I declare a major at UNCC?
In order to be admitted to a degree program a student must meet all requirements for acceptance into that major and submit an approved “Change of Major/Minor” form through the relevant department to the Office of the Registrar. Students may declare multiple majors presuming they meet the requirements for each degree.
How do you drop a major?
How to Drop a Major or Minor. If you would like to drop a major or minor, you may do so at the same time you visit with a department to declare or add a new major or minor. You may request that the department also record your intention to drop a major or minor from your record.
When can I declare my major UNCC?
You are required to declare a major by the second semester of your sophomore year. If you have not declared a major by the pre-registration period for that semester, you will not be able to register for the following term until you have declared a major. Can you double major at UNCC?

Is it bad to drop a major?
Dropping a class is much better for your GPA than failing a class or getting a C or D in it is because a dropped class does not affect your grade point average. Dropping a class may also raise your GPA because it can allow you to spend more time on other classes and raise your grades in them.
