How to build a Baja Bug yourself
- Step 1: remove the wheels.
- Step 2: remove the engine cover and rear bumper.
- Step 3: remove the rear fenders and running boards.
- Step 4: remove wires and undo the throttle cable.
- Step 5: cut off the rear apron.
- Step 6: remove the engine.
- Step 7: cut the fenders to shape.
- Step 8: remove the welds.
How do you jack up the front of a VW Beetle?
Set concrete blocks before and after the back tires of the car to chock the tires. Lift the front of the car by rolling or sliding your hydraulic floor jack so that it is directly beneath the center of the bottom tube of the axle beam. Place a piece of wood between the tube and the jack, and raise the front of the car.
