What happened to the RoboCop suit?
Because the hands of the RoboCop suit were made of foam rubber, the car keys would bounce off of Peter Weller’s hand every time he attempted to catch them. The production took up to 50 takes and an entire day’s worth of filming before finally getting the shot right.
How did they do the RoboCop makeup?
He wanted to do the same for the “Third Act” makeup so he shot it from behind, then him looking in a mirror, then from the front. In RoboCop:The series they addressed this in one scene by having the chin guard be attached to the helmet and being removed together.

There is currently no release date for RoboCop Returns, and we’ll probably have to wait even longer due to the COVID-19 pandemic shutting down and delaying productions throughout much of 2020.
How long did it take to put the RoboCop suit on?
Naturally, this caused problems and production had to be halted for three days so that Weller could be coached on how to move while wearing the suit — which could take up to 11 hours to put on!
