What PSI should a paddle board be?
You won’t need to put more than 25 psi in your board. Above this pressure you will see no increase in stiffness but you will find the valve is hard to push down to deflate the board and it takes longer to inflate. For general use 15-22 psi is best. Heavier riders will benefit from pressure closer to 25psi.

Is higher PSI better for SUP?
PSI stands for pounds per square inch and will tell you how much air your board is able to take and how much it needs for optimum performance. Basically the higher the PSI number, the harder the board is going to be. Making sure your SUP is inflated to the proper air pressure will ensure: that it performs well.
Can you Overinflate SUP?
Over inflating your SUP board serves no real purpose. It will not become more rigid once it’s already inflated. All that will happen is that you’ll find it difficult to shut the valve, and you’ll waste a fair amount of time. With some SUP pumps, you’ll find it difficult or impossible to over inflate your board.
How many fins should a sup have?
Traditionally, paddle boards used for surfing will have a three fin set up with the center fin and two smaller fins on the sides (side bites). The reason for this is that the side bites will channel the water and prevent your board from slipping sideways down the face of the wave.
Are paddle board fins universal?
Some fins are explicitly designed for speed; some are adapted for riding the surf, while others help the board move in a straight line on calm waters. Most paddle boards on the market allow for swapping between different types of fins.
