What is EI FS7?
EI is the brightness at which the LUT displays the scene. The FS7 has a native ISO of 2000 and the camera always records at 2000 ISO in the Cine EI mode. But the EI of the LUT can be varied to make the LUT brighter and darker. the only thing EI changes is the brightness of the LUT.
What is APR FS7?
When the FS7 politely requests that you “execute APR”, it’s reminding you to do some basic maintenance for your camera. The APR function actually minimizes the appearance of bright or dark sensor pixels, as well as sensor noise, so you should do this regularly.

In order to maximize the cameras dynamic range in Cine EI the recording ISO of the camera is locked to it’s native ISO of 2000. To help cope with di cult or challenging lighting situations the camera can be “rated” at a higher or lower equivalent ISO by changing the cameras Exposure Index or EI.
