Is Nexus the same as Global Entry?
Nexus is administered by Canada and has separate clearance criteria. However, the result is the same as Global Entry: expedited passage. If you are a member of Nexus you now have Global Entry privileges just as if you had registered in the U.S. for that CBP program.
What if my Global Entry expired?
You become eligible to renew your membership one year prior to program expiration. If you submit a renewal application before your membership expires, you will be able to continue to use benefits up to 6 months after your membership expiration date if your renewal does not get processed in time.
Do I get TSA PreCheck with NEXUS?
No. To receive TSA PreCheck®, you must include your Known Traveler Number (your CBP PASSID for Global Entry, NEXUS, or SENTRI members) in the appropriate field of your airline reservation, and the TSA PreCheck® indicator must be displayed on the boarding pass to access the lanes.
Is NEXUS better than TSA PreCheck?
Advantages: NEXUS is more economical than Global Entry because it only costs $50 per adult and children are FREE until they turn 18. With Nexus you get all the benefits of Global Entry and TSA PreCheck. Disadvantages: There are only a few US enrollment centers where you can have a NEXUS interview.
How do I get a Global Entry?

How long does it take to get Global Entry?

Does Global Entry really work?
Global Entry does not guarantee a quicker entry into the US. Members might be selected at the border for further screening/examination. Of course, you apply hoping that you won’t be selected, and that you will get a quicker entry, but it’s not a definite guarantee.
Who is eligible for Global Entry?
Citizens of the following countries are eligible to apply for Global Entry: Permanent residents of the United States are also eligible providing they have lived in the USA for three consecutive years before applying for Global Entry membership.
