US Youth Soccer cancels ODP Summer Camp, altering National ODP selection process. US Youth Soccer has announced the cancellation of this year’s ODP Summer Camp, and provided an update on the upcoming selection process for the next National ODP cycle.
Is Ecnl better than ODP?
ECNL yields more dependable results. The players are playing with their own teams and therefore are able to show better. ODP is a very uneven playing field, with members of some regional teams having only passing familiarity with one another.
Is MLS NEXT higher than ECNL?
While there is something cooking in the NWSL for an academy program, the ECNL is the highest level of competition for girls. Since US Soccer has no longer control over the new DA “MLS NEXT” the level of clubs competing has drastically improved. It’s is NOT the same as the U.S. Development Academy.
