Well, you need 26 dex to wield it, and it has B scaling in dex and C scaling in strength, so it makes for a good quality build weapon. Fully upgraded gives it ~450 total attack (including fire damage), before scaling. Couple that with its great reach and you have one of my favorite weapons in the game.
