Nordstrom said yesterday that it had reached an agreement to sell its Faconnable brand to a privately owned Lebanese investment group for $210 million in cash. Nordstrom has lately been upping the designer quotient at its department stores, including taking an expanded stake in Jeffrey stores, a luxury retailer.

Pepe Jeans had acquired 100% of the French fashion brand Façonnable, which is controlled by Lebanese group M1, itself the owner of Pepe Jeans. The acquisition was announced by Spanish fashion magazine Modaes. Façonnable was founded in Nice, France, and it was owned by US department store chain Nordstrom until 2007.
