Nordstrom said yesterday that it had reached an agreement to sell its Faconnable brand to a privately owned Lebanese investment group for $210 million in cash. Nordstrom has lately been upping the designer quotient at its department stores, including taking an expanded stake in Jeffrey stores, a luxury retailer.

The acquisition was announced by Spanish fashion magazine Modaes. Façonnable was founded in Nice, France, and it was owned by US department store chain Nordstrom until 2007.
