Can you just leave stuff at Goodwill?
Can you just drop things off at Goodwill? Goodwill is requesting that donors only drop off items at reopened locations during the designated days and hours of operation.
Do you have to fold clothes to donate?
However, it also takes a lot of work and resources to deal with inappropriate donations. For every clothing item that comes through the door, someone must evaluate it for its state of repair, cleanliness, and seasonal appropriateness. Then the item must be sized and folded or hung for the clients.
Does goodwill take bathing suits?
One-piece bathing suits are suits that are made to be one. No top, no bottoms. Just a straight bathing suit. It can as well be given out for goodwill.
Does goodwill wash clothes before selling?
Goodwill does not prepare items before they sell them. They don’t wash clothes, wipe off dirt or dust from items, or put in missing screws or parts that some items need. If you’re going to donate any material goods, then you should clean and prepare them.

What items will goodwill not accept?
Goodwill DOES NOT accept the following items: (Due to recall and/or environmental concerns.) Any item needing repair, except computers. Ammunition, weapons, including replicas. Automotive parts, including tires, batteries, motors. Baby gear, including furniture, car seats, strollers, high chairs, etc.
How to contact goodwill to pick up donation?
Pickups are made starting at 8 a.m. If you are scheduling a pickup for a business, school, or church, please contact us Toll-Free at 855-513-8444. If your pickup is large enough to fill a large truck, please contact at 855-513-8444. Each pickup truck has only one driver. Please make sure all items are on ground level and ready for pickup.
When does goodwill accept donations?
They accept household items and apparel seven days a week. Hours and types of items accepted vary by location – find your nearest donation location below. In our quest for sustainability, we maintain attended donation stations as three landfills throughout the region.
