The discoveries of recent centuries has showed that the earth is vast and as such the 12-month calendar (based on the phases of the moon) developed by the Babylonians by dividing the sky into 12 equal parts from looking at 12 distinct constellations by which the sun travels over the course of a year no longer hold true.
