Who was vidur in previous birth?
Vidura was Yamaraj, the superintendent of death in his previous birth. Yamaraj had committed a mistake by punishing a sage for killing an ant in his childhood innocently. This sage is Manduka Muni or Mandavya Muni.
Did vidur get married?
Vidur’s wife was also a chaste woman of supreme order. She too had a high degree of devotion and abdication. When Lord Krishna visited Hastinapur as an emissary of Pandavas, he had not accepted Duryodhana’s request to stay in his palace but instead he chose to stay at Vidur’s home and accepted a simple meal there.

What happened to vidura after Mahabharat?
Vidur dies some years after the Kurukshetra War in the Mahabharat. He becomes a sannyasi (renunciate hermit) and attains nirvan/moksha (liberation). His moksha is witnessed by the new King of Hastinapur Yudhisthir. This event is described in the Asramvasika Parva of the Mahabharat epic.

Why did Ambika close her eyes?
Along with her sisters, Amba and Ambika, Ambalika was taken by force by Bhishma from their Swayamvara, the latter having challenged and defeated the assembled royalty. When he approached Ambika, she closed her eyes in fear. As a result the blind Dhritrashtra was born.
