Over the years, projects operated by RWE have contributed £8.6m to neighbouring communities from the funds associated with our renewable energy sites in Wales. The annual community funding in Wales alone amounts to over £2.4 million – how this funding is allocated is decided by local people in the communities.
What is the status of RWE’s renewables?
RWE thus ranks as the number 4 global renewables player and is number 2 in offshore wind capacity. RWE committed itself to an ambitious CO 2 reduction goal: Currently, around 60 percent of RWE’s electricity generation capacities are free from or low in carbon. This share will increase every year – until RWE is carbon-neutral in 2040.

What qualifications do you need to be a Drax apprentice in Scotland?
Scottish Qualifications – National 5 Qualifications in Maths, English and Physics. You must also have good communication skills along with an ability to work as part of a team. There is no age restriction or age limit for the Drax Apprenticeship Scheme.
